Back in the days when The Cynic's Sanctuary and I were young, I used to write dark-humored monthly essays for this page. I called them "tirades," and my visitors seemed to enjoy reading them as much as I enjoyed writing them.
It would take forever to re-post all the tirades on the new site, but you can read a sampling of old favorites -- along with a handful of my weekly "Cynical Guy" columns from 2000-2002. (I'll gather most of my essays in book form eventually, assuming I live long enough.)
Meanwhile, this page is still alive. I've kept a few features from the old site, and I'll be adding new ones as inspiration strikes. Once a cynical writer, always a cynical writer.
